Spoken Word – The Hip Yak Poetry Sunday Sessions
15th July at 12:30 pm - 2:00 pmFree – £2
It’s Sunday it’s lunchtime, so pile up your plates, fill your glasses and open your hearts, as you get ready for some of the finest, funniest, deeply moving and profoundly right-on (but not in an annoying way) spoken word entertainment you will hear this Summer. Prepare to be totally flabbergasted and very pleasantly entertained.
Liv Torc will host a leisurely lunch of spoken word cabaret starring Chris Redmond, the coolest yak in the poetry watering hole. There will be some music, some laughter and a feature slot from Friday’s Slam Winner. We also welcome and encourage local writers and performers to come along and have a go at reading a poem or two, or even sharing a song. Please contact…. to book your slot and guarantee your space on the day.
‘Poetry, but not as you know it … amazing.’ The Guardian
