The earliest Almhouses in Wells have been in existence since the fifteenth century. The Chapel would have been an important part of everyday life. Almhouse residents were often required to wear a uniform and attendance at the chapel was usually mandatory as many of the trusts responsible for the building of almshouses had a Christian ethos.
Tickets can be purchased through this website, or look out for our stall at the Wells market and in the marquee on Cathedral Green during the Festival. Tickets and Festival programmes are also available at Collectively Made, 1 Union Street, Wells.
